    *Candidates must be local and able to work in Omaha for at least 2 semesters while taking on a full-time course load.*

    Hours:         

    • Flexible; between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F
    • 15-25 hours per week depending on the applicant's schedule
    • Rare opportunities for time outside of these hours (evenings/weekends)
    • Additional hours may be available during the summer

     

    Salary:          

    $12.00 per hour and up

     

    Location: 

    1314 Douglas Street (Omaha World-Herald Building)

     

    This position will assist in the execution of various employee appreciation events. Duties include the following:

    • Collaborating with others on planning of events, including senior managers and executives
    • Working independently and in cooperation with other team members to prepare for events
    • Serving as a member of the Events committee
    • Developing new ideas for company appreciation events
    • Conducting research and finding resources to assist with decisions about event possibilities
    • Participate in reflection discussions following events

    Qualifications

    • Sophomore, junior, or senior
    • Work with detail with accuracy
    • Knowledge of basic math
    • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and oral and written communication skills
    • Punctual
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines
